Diamond saturated polishing pads are used to quickly polish a pot's foot after they have been ground. They come in in three grits, #600 (smooth), #1200 (very smooth) and #3000. The #3000 gives a glass like high sheen.

The #600, #1200 and #3000 are used singly or one after another after grinding with the #400 side of the double sided diamond grinding disc, to give a very smooth polished very pleasant finished appearance and feel. Use with water. They come with a magnetic rubber backing for easy attachment and removal from any electroplated steel diamond grinding disc.  They are somewhat rigid, but soften with use.  The diamond dust/particles are embedded in the resin that coats and holds the individual fibers in place, throughout the pads. As the pad is used over time, the resin is worn away along with some of the diamond particles, and new diamonds are exposed.
