  • #400 grit, fine side. This side removes material more slowly and leaves a smoother finish. Just flip the disc over to change sides.

Product Description

12-inch diameter, 1/4" thick machined electroplated steel diamond grinding disc that attaches to a potters wheel like a bat, with standard bat pins.  Both sides of the discs have a diamond grinding surface, one medium/coarse (100 grit), and the other fine (400 grit).

Just flip the disc over to change grits. Two 12" discs back to back, combined as one 220 square inches of total grinding area,

It works like a slower speed lapping disc or lap grinder and can be used to smooth gemstones and glass and sharpen tools.  No assembly, it is ready to use. Works for high fired porcelain, stoneware or bisque.

Use with water and eye protection.

Each side of the disc is replaceable when it wears out or becomes too inefficient.

    This grinding wheel is fabulous! It allows me to take my ceramic sculptures to the next level of professional finish. I can now smooth the bases so that they are satin smooth and sit perfectly level on a table or pedestal. Best of all, I can totally smooth out any surface where the glaze ran. I love how glazes can run together and blend, creating new colors and patterns but the excessive drips were a total pain to remove. This grinding disk has certainly made my life easier and makes my work much more appealing to close scrutiny.

    I've only had the chance to try the 100 grit so far, but I'm in love with this product! It works incredibly well and for being double sided with replaceable discs, it's a great price! I appreciate that they show you how to maintain and stretch the lifespan of the discs, it's very honest and helpful. Really glad I found this before buying from another company.

    Very good product. I ordered the complete kit last year and I use it regularly. Really useful. I ordered a new disk this year because I use it very often, I save a lot of time with these disks. Very efficient service also.
